| Russian with fun for kids, their parents and anyone who likes to play, sing, watch videos, make something with their hands and study Russian with native speaker and experienced teacher. Hello Dear Friends! My name is Victoria and I am a teacher of Russian and English as a foreign language. I have 18 years experience in tutoring students, both adults and children. I earned my higher education diploma (Masters degree) in Russia and Teaching Knowledge Certificate from Cambridge University. I have recently moved to Monterey from Russia and am starting new courses for students age 5 - 95+ years old. I offer different kinds of programs, flexible in time, number of students, their interests and price. Most of my programs are based on the Language Immersion method. We will start speaking Russian the first lesson and learn a lot about Russian culture, cuisine, traditions and holidays. We will play interactive games to study grammar and learn letters and words, watch educational programs and feature films in Russian, sing Russian songs, and have Russian cooking classes. Children age 5 and older will learn how to make things with their hands, study the rules of politeness, watch funny animated cartoons and speak Russian in the natural way. Adult students can learn how to cook Russian dishes and knit, learn about famous Russian writers, poets, actors and ballet dancers, about history and geography, watch Russian films and start speaking Russian as native speakers. We can have classes 1-to-1, or in small groups in my house, your house, or at my office near the center of Monterey. I am also able to instruct using Skype. I also would like to mention that I am a second generation teacher, as my mother was a teacher of Russian language and literature for more than 40 years. I am keen on different methods of teaching languages and am fond of Russian and English classical literature, feature films, old musicals and documentaries about countries, their history and culture. I feel as though my experience, education, and wide range of interests, as well as personal qualities like patience, tolerance, sociability, responsibility, and goodwill continue to be very valuable for my students, and have helped me become a top quality tutor.
